  BARCELONA, Spain, Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Private Media Group Inc. (Nasdaq: PRVT - News) announced today that it has promoted Director of Wireless Technology Tim Clausen to Vice President of Sales and Director of Internet Fiona Garvey to Vice President Online Media.

Tim Clausen joined Private from T-Mobile International in May 2005, and has been responsible for building Private''s wireless business. To date Clausen has made Private content accessible on 783 million mobile handsets in 35 countries on 83 mobile networks and turned Private into a leading provider in the global adult mobile content business.

Fiona Garvey has 6 years experience at Private, beginning as Customer Service Director, two years ago she was promoted to Internet Director, where she has successfully grown Private''s online and Internet licensing business.

These promotions are a strategic move by the Private Media Group to place Clausen and Garvey in key executive positions by consolidating their considerable talents and strategic vision in the implementation of Private''s future business plans.

Both VPs share the goal of further establishing Private as the leading global adult brand. Clausen commented: "Here at Private we are committed to providing the best in erotic entertainment, which is distributed on both linear and digital formats. My goals are to increase both traditional DVD sales along with new digital platforms by providing the consumer with genre led content along with big Private blockbuster movies."

Clausen will be expanding Private''s IPTV business by tying up new territorial deals all over the world and Clausen adds: "Private is a global content provider and we are targeting all territories that permit adult content. We are also aggressively licensing the Private brand and ''Silver Girls'' trademark to major players in the luxury product market. I feel that this is a key incremental revenue source with a huge potential, a good example of this is the adult toy business."

Part of Garvey''s remit will be to continue to oversee the development of the Private.com portal and a new and expanded online strategy for Private, including online licensing. Garvey comments: "We are global content provider and the biggest adult entertainment company in Europe. Our online strategy includes introducing niche sites, setting up a true European VOD site, improving our flagship site private.com, growing our community and social networks and expanding into the virtual worlds." Garvey adds: "To do this, we will be developing strategic partnerships with third parties to expand our online offering, both from a content and technical perspective."

Prior to joining Private, Tim was a Senior Manager in the international content team at T-Mobile International in London. Tim was in charge of implementing international marketing and content strategies as well as negotiating multi-national content agreements with blue chip media & entertainment companies. Tim also has critical start-up experience from his time as Business Development Manager and later General Manager at Red Message''s German office, one of Europe first mobile data service-providers. Clausen holds a BA(hons) in International Business Studies from European Business School, London.

Before joining Private, Fiona Garvey was Call Centre Manager in a pan European outsourcing call centre in Dublin (International Marketing Solutions). She was responsible for business development and set up and management of all telemarketing and customer services campaigns for telecommunications and IT corporations.
